Learn what to say—and why people say it. I help learners participate more naturally in real-life conversations in Chinese. You may understand a lot when listening, but when it's your turn to speak, it's hard to respond naturally, keep the conversation going, or express what you really mean. Some of my students use Chinese at work. Others want to communicate with Chinese friends, family members, or clients. Many simply want to sound more natural and feel more confident in everyday conversations. My lessons are built around real situations—not textbook dialogues. Before becoming a full-time Chinese teacher, I ran my own manufacturing and wholesale business in China for over 15 years. Since 2019, I've taught learners from many different backgrounds, especially professionals and adults who want to use Chinese in real life. Whether you're preparing for a business trip, working with Chinese colleagues or clients, rebuilding your Chinese after years away, or simply trying to join conversations more naturally, we'll focus on the situations that matter most to you. Together, we'll look at the situation, understand the relationship, choose the right words, and explore why people communicate the way they do—not just what to say.
