Hello! I’m 焱曦 (YànXī) from China. 👋
I’m not your typical language teacher — I’m a conversational Chinese coach with 10+ years of real business experience. I’ve worked with international clients, run my own company, and visited wholesale markets & trade fairs across China.
You’ll learn not just textbook Chinese, but real words & cultural insights — from daily small talk to cross-cultural business talks. ✈️
In my free time, I enjoy reading 📚, drawing comics 🧑🏻🎨, and sharing stories on my YouTube channel YMC Learn Chinese, where learners worldwide explore Chinese culture & practical wisdom.

I started teaching on italki in early 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic when I was quarantined at home. Italki quickly became a special part of my life, connecting me with amazing students around the world. During those challenging times, teaching and communicating with my students brought great joy and comfort to me. Even after COVID, the meaningful bonds I've formed with my students continue to inspire me every day.
I strongly believe that helping others overcome their challenges is one of the best ways to empower ourselves. Or as we say in Chinese:
