Hi there,
My name is Dahee.
I'm a qualified language teacher from Seoul, South Korea.
I live alternately between Cape Town and Seoul.
I've been working as an on-offline Korean Language teacher and a TVC model in Cape Town.
Also, when I visit Korea, I teach either English to elementary school kids or Japanese to middle-high school students. I always get some offers to teach foreigners Korean language while I'm staying in Korea.
I love children, animals and travel. Recently, I traveled to South America and Eastern Europe for 6 months. I like to meet new people, listen to their stories, and share experiences.
I sincerely hope I can help you to improve your Korean level.
Me as a Teacher
My qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Language Education from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Seoul (2014).
• Korean Education Course at Hongik University, Seoul (2013).
• Bachelor’s degree in Japanese Language and Japanese Translation from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Seoul (2011).
My Korean teaching experience consists of one-on-one private lessons and teaching group lessons at the Korean school in Cape Town.
My lessons & teaching style
I offer beginner lessons, conversation practice lessons, intermediate lessons and topic discussion lessons for upper intermediate and advanced students. You can find out more information on each type of lesson in the “Lessons” section below.
Generally, my classes contain an equal balance of reading, speaking, writing, and listening. During the class, I like to spend more time on speaking and listening through conversation. After class, I will give you worksheets to complete and writing tasks to practice by yourself.
I strive to be friendly, efficient and clear in my lessons. I like to complement my students to encourage them and give them confidence in learning Korean.

I finally feel like I am making progress with the grammar drills that Dahee has me do. I especially like how she has me combine different grammar structures into a single sentence. She also corrects me so that what I say sounds more natural. She is an amazing teacher!

Thankyou Dahee for another great lesson. We went over all of the grammar topics we recently covered, and practiced this in day-to-day situations.

Dahee 선생님 was great during the first lesson - she asked questions in Korean to determine what level I’m at in order to customize my lessons according to my needs. It was also a great review session for me. She is very patient, gave me space to think about my answers, and let me work my way to the correct answer. I’m very excited to take more lessons with her.
