I have always been fascinated with languages, and I grew up in a family where several languages were spoken, although I can only really claim German as my mothertongue. I immensely enjoy studying languages myself, and keep adding new ones to my list. As a speaker of Scottish Gaelic, I am involved with minority language issues, especially concerning the Celtic languages. I am also a published writer and poet in Gaelic. Important info for new students: My calendar is usually up to date for the current week, and on Thursday or Friday I update it for the following week. If you want to book a lesson at very short notice, or more than two weeks in advance, it is usually best to message me first. I have done a lot of language and linguistics related things at university, and I have worked part-time as a language teacher and tutor since the age of 16, gradually moving into more challenging positions, like teaching German to immigrants and business people, and tutoring university students in Latin and Ancient Greek. I have never formally qualified as a teacher, but I take teaching very seriously - while making it fun and inspiring at the same time! :) I teach at all levels, from basic beginner lessons to advanced. We can focus on grammar, conversation or reading, depending on your interests and needs.
