She is an excellent teacher who knows not only how to teach Chinese but why something is taught that way. She's very well prepared for each lesson and has homework ready for you to do. She also teaches about Chinese culture, which is very interesting! If you want to learn Chinese the correct way, Lǎoshī Sūn is who you should go to. Lessons are intense....so be prepared to learn!!

I learned Chinese a long time ago but have since forgotten how to pronounce everything. However, Lisa is very nice and patient jogging my memory. I was really nervous because I didn't want to pronounce anything wrong, but she encouraged me and that made me feel so much better, I learned and relearned quite a few words during the trial. I'll be booking another class.

My lesson with Lisa was fantastic. She made me feel really comfortable and confident speaking Chinese and I'm excited about our upcoming lessons.

This is my first full hour lesson with Lisa, we went over the strokes, letters, pronunciation and letter combinations to create new words. I also learned about the origins of some letters and how they evolved into the ones they are today! I thought it was really neat to see that. I also have homework. I also want to add that. At first I thought I wouldn't be able to remember the letters even during the lesson, but Lisa quizzed me a few times before class was over. I feel confident that I won't forget. I will be booking again.

Lisa is very accommodating and professional. I could tell she has plenty of experience. She was very well prepared and I enjoyed her presentation of the lesson. We reviewed a lesson in HSK 1. I really enjoyed her explanation of certain characters and their radicals. This was VERY useful in understanding the meaning behind the characters. Thank you!
