Shalom! my name is Eli, Iโm 39 years old, and I live in the beautiful Upper Galilee in Israel. If you saw my video from India โ yes, Iโm six years younger there โ but I promise you I have the same enthusiasm today as I had when I started on italki. I only learned how to teach people better :)
Important: I'm not traveling anymore. I am a professional language teacher, translator, copywriter, editor, and writer, and I work full time :)

I am a certified teacher (B.Ed) with 10 years of experience; Iโve worked in several schools in Israel (private and public) and have been teaching online thousands of lessons to hundreds of students.
I love my job! I love English, I love Hebrew, and I love teaching them. I specialize in spoken language, pronunciation, and conversation, but we can also work on grammar or anything that you feel will boost your confidence and improve your language skills. I pay attention, I analyze, and I quickly adapt to my studentsโ needs.My lessons & teaching style
Talking, talking and more talking! My experience has taught me that in 99% of cases - speaking, repeating, simulating real-life situations, and using improvised examples - work better than practicing grammar and talking about rules. This is a method that aims at implementing a language in its native form, and I am experienced in making it work :)
My lessons are fun! I truly believe that when we enjoy something, we do everything better - including acquiring new knowledge. I genuinely look forward to Hebrew every week. There's not a lot that could make me wake up at 4:30 AM, but I'm willing to so I can get to Hebrew class. Eli does a fantastic job, and I'm learning a lot.

I have been taking Hebrew lessons with Eli through Italki for nearly 6 years. Heโs fun and patient and has a good understanding of oneโs level in Hebrew. He also speaks very good English. Our lessons are usually part conversation and part going over homework.

Eli made me feel very comfortable, and presented a new learning style to me revolving around what's been going on in my life. He helped create a vocabulary list and practice sentences at the end for me to review. I highly recommend.
