A facilitator who shares his knowledge Merhaba / Hello! I love having conversations, getting to know new people, learning about different cultures, and everything about languages. I also love teaching since it gives me the opportunity to do all these at once. What I love is to make people comfortable around me; I never prefer to make people feel that there is no space for humor in my classes. I believe fun and learning go together well I graduated from English Language Teaching in Marmara University, Istanbul. I worked for a few years in a private school. Since 2013, I have taught in one of the universities in Turkey. Personally, I wouldn't only think about experience when it comes to finding a good teacher. I have seen many naive teachers who do a great job or vice versa. I guess good teaching is some sort of agreement between the personality and the requirements of the job of teaching. As a teacher, I believe my strengths would be to anticipate well what difficulties a student may have through the process of learning a language and to be able to simplify complicated points. You can say better after taking classes... If communication is your main goal, we don't have to speak a common language. But if you want to have a grammar-based class (due to your personality or aims), then speaking a COMMON LANGUAGE would be my preference. For communication, my method is little grammar and much practice. For other purposes (exams or writing), you can learn very subtle grammar points with me. My classes will always be shape...

Yavuz is a very patient, nice and open-minded teacher who really wants you to become better. He puts a lot of effort into the class and it is well structured, not just random conversation like I had it in other classes on italki. He also has the linguistic knowledge to being able to point out small nuances and explain them. I really enjoyed the class and felt like I learned a lot!
