About Me

Let's get together and chat! My name is Nohely. I am originally from the United States but have been living in Italy for the past 4 years. I have always had a great love for languages. I grew up in a bilingual home where we easily transitioned from one language to another. This encouraged me to pursue a degree in Spanish language and literature. I am also TEFL certified. Learning a new language can be challenging, but I believe the key is PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE. I would be very happy to help you practice the English or Spanish you already know. Together we can build a strong foundation that will increase your confidence in speaking .

Me as a Teacher

Since I was a little girl I knew I wanted be a teacher. I was lucky to have worked in Dual Language schools ( Spanish & Mandarin) for 6 years. I worked both as a co-teacher and as a Lead teacher. This experience was definitely challenging yet rewarding. Helping students learn a new language is truly magical. Being in a classroom helped me see how we all learn in different ways. Recently I have been working with second language learners in Italy.

I plan on making your lessons tailored to your needs. Interactive and fun, where we can have enriching conversations that can help you practice the new language. Helping you feel confident in your speaking ability will be my main priority. Together I hope to help you reach all your goals.

Nohely Lora is a great teacher. I've been trying for longer than I've been alive to learn Spanish and haven't been able to get anywhere. Nohely is patient, understanding and has taken me from zero comprehension to good comprehension and I expect that we'll get to great comprehension and the ability to speak Spanish well in the near future. Couldn't recommend her more highly.
