Native Certified Teacher, Trained by Alliance Française / Modern Methods and Structured Lessons Originally from Menton, a picturesque town in southern France near the Italian border, I spent a decade in Paris before embarking on international travels. Now based in Manchester, I bring a global perspective to French language instruction. Certified by the Alliance Française—a globally recognised institution for French language education since 1883—I have been teaching French online full-time since 2018. With over 6,000 hours of instruction delivered to 700+ students, I combine rigorous methodology with cultural insights to make learning both effective and engaging. Even though we will never shy away from discussing grammar, we will always keep in mind that it’s just a tool for you to use, to be able to express yourself. As a result, everything we do together will work towards acquiring new skills, things you can use in the real world. We will also follow your needs, your wishes, and respect your learning speed: there's no getting left behind here! You have a choice between 3 options: • Structured lessons: just like a class at the Alliance-Française, but a lot more personal, and in the comfort of your own home. We will use colourful, modern textbooks that include audio, videos and interactive exercises. The goal here is to gain new tools and train together on using them at the right time! Raphaël is great. He's quite attuned, so even when I hit a roadblock with the language, conversation feels easy. One of my goals is to be able to enjoy films and TV. He gave me a YouTube video to watch and then discuss at the next lesson. The video was the perfect length and level to push me towards better comprehension of more complex and informal media.
