Takeshi sensei is a fantastic teacher! I have had over 200 lessons with him so far and I am always learning something new. His teaching style is very unique and effective, as I have seen a lot of progress in my Japanese since starting lessons with him. It took me a few lessons to understand his method, but once I did, I realized the value in how he breaks everything down to its most simple form. Takeshi sensei is patient, respectful, and really funny!

Obsessive attention to detail on his end while being extremely flexible with you. On time like a Japanese train. Respectfulness to a level most people I know can't acheive. Fun, funny, and good-natured. I cannot even begin to describe the amazing person that is Takeshi-san. Be prepared for the best Japanese lessons you could possibly hope for.

I've been studying with Takeshi for a while, and one of the things I appreciate most is his attention to pronunciation. He doesn't let small details slide, and thanks to that, I feel like I've developed a Japanese accent I'm genuinely happy with. Another thing that sets him apart is that he doesn't take the "lazy" approach to teaching. Instead of relying heavily on textbooks, he focuses on how Japanese is actually spoken, teaching natural and authentic expressions. If your goal is to sound like a real Japanese speaker rather than just pass exams, I highly recommend him.
