Svitlana

Svitlana is a wonderful teacher! I am working on my speaking and listening and she is always encouraging and patient with me when I don't understand something she says or have trouble remembering words. Highly recommend for everyone. Thank you, Svitlana!

Svitlana is a delight -- though I've been studying mostly on my own for 5 months, I haven't done much speaking of Ukrainian, and so this conversation practice had me very nervous and forgetting everything I knew. Svitlana was very comforting though, and helped explain meanings of words in English as she spoke. She also allowed me to speak English in my answers if I didn't have the Ukrainian. She then taught me how to say those answers in Ukrainian. Svitlana never seemed annoyed or upset at the need for some English in our conversation, and I so very deeply appreciate that -- she was very patient, and her energy is so very positive! I had a truly delightful trial lesson and will be booking further lessons with Svitlana! Дуже дякую Вам!!

I so very much appreciated today's lesson with Svitlana! She used mostly Ukrainian in her speaking in today's lesson, which was a very good challenge for me, and encouraged me to give more of my responses in Ukrainian. The activities also encouraged and required more speaking from me, which is something I sorely need a LOT of practice with!! Дуже дякую за чудовий урок!

I have returned to work with Svitlana after approximately a year away due to personal schedule and budget needs. I am so grateful to Svitlana for hearing my request to be "thrown into the fire" and putting more challenging tasks in front of me, even though I'm still very much a beginner. It is already so helpful for me to at least see and hear and to practice speaking more full sentences and to be less focused on the individual words and details. This is already giving me a better whole-picture view of the Ukrainian language. And I like that our topics have been useful information! I absolutely recommend Svitlana for your lessons if you are considering her for a Ukrainian teacher. She will work with you to make the lessons both what you want and what will be most helpful for you! Дуже, дуже дякую!!

Svitlana is a caring and diligent teacher who will work with you to meet your personal goals. I appreciate that she has taken into consideration my requests to be a bit more "thrown into the fire" of this language! Our lesson today included work with vocabulary I've learned, but also branched a bit wider, and I appreciate that Svitlana gave me the wait time I needed to be able to find the words I was trying to find! I also really appreciated that she gave me more full sentences in prompts and questions within the lesson, even if I didn't know all the words -- this is most helpful when trying to get a grasp on how words are used in sentences rather than in isolation -- especially when there are so many possible cases for indivdual words depending on how they are used!
