I have extensive experience teaching highly educated medics and students who require some final practice before their OET and IELTS exams. I first taught English in 1993 in the Republic of Moldova to secondary school pupils and adults before returning to the UK and teaching individuals or small groups. I have since spent 3 years in Cyprus teaching English to adults, predominantly from Arabic speaking countries at a refugee reception centre.
I have now retired from working in a National Health Service Public Health role helping vulnerable groups understand how to use our healthcare system. This brought me into contact with people who speak a variety of languages and often had very limited English language skills. This experience helped me understand other religions and cultures.My lessons & teaching style
Medical professionals taking the OET exam will receive advice and corrections for the Speaking section as we practice role plays. I use materials which only certified OET preparation providers can obtain. I can also offer Writing practice.
Gain high IELTS bands for UK university entry and UK visa requirements. I have an abundance of experience sourcing excellent grammar and general English language resources to assist you.
Alternatively, sit back and have a relaxing conversation. I can correct all or only major errors to help your fluency.My teaching material
