Ciao! I am a professional teacher with a deep passion for Italian culture. Born near Milan and raised near Venice, I earned a degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures from the University of Padova and a Master’s in Teaching Italian from the University of Venice. My background, enriched by years of professional experience in the tourism sector and global travel, helps me understand the diverse needs of my students. I am professional yet maintain a relaxed, warm, and empathetic approach. My students describe me as an encouraging and patient mentor who makes them feel comfortable. Thanks to my long experience, I am extremely flexible: I adapt to your goals, whether through structured lessons or informal conversation. We will speak Italian from day one, focusing on vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. I use authentic materials—like newspaper articles, music, and videos—to teach the language in real-life contexts. Beyond grammar, I am an insightful guide to Italian culture. I enjoy discussing politics, current events, and history to give you a real sense of our society. We can also explore cinema, books, and dialects. I often correct short stories written by my students to help them express their own experiences. For me, teaching means opening a window to new worlds. Elena is a fantastic teacher! I have had both structured lessons and informal conversation with Elena. I feel very comfortable with her and not intimidated to speak. She is an experienced professional teacher, with a solid knowledge of grammar and teaching skills. Elena helps me improve my pronunciation. She has a sense of humor, is patient and is also interesting. She frequently explains common uses of words and phrases, not just formal language. She has provided interesting articles to discuss on Italian culture and the arts. At times, I write short "stories" about my life and experiences which Elena will correct with me. I have done homework assignments either with worksheets she provides or with a book I already have. Elena is extremely flexible to my learning goals. You will have fun and improve when studying Italian with Elena!

Elena is a highly competent teacher and at the same time a very nice person, full of warmth and empathy. She has long experience in teaching.This allows her to react flexibly to the needs of her students. Our lessons are variable: conversation, grammar exercises etc.. The use of authentic materials ( for example newspaper articles, youtube links, music) is very helpfull to learn new vocabulary in real-life contexts. I have made great progress in speaking fluently. I recommend Elena to everyone who wants to learn the italian linguage and to have insights to the italian culture.
