TeacherElementary school - Chautara, NepalIn a small village called Nawalpur in Sindhupalchowk District in Bagmati Province of central Nepal I was teaching English in an elementary school. The area was occupied by the Maois guerilla at that time. There was no running water and electricity and during the rainy season there was water in the classroom. The kids were eager to learn and very attentive. In the afternoon there came some students and asked me to help them with their homework. Some of them brought corn and vegetables as payment.
