I've been teaching on Italki for over 6 years. Originally from Hunan, China, I now live and work in New York. I also lived in Japan and Switzerland before.
Beyond teaching, my interests include singing and language learning. I hold degrees in International Relations and East Asian Studies.
Whether you're learning English or Chinese, I'm here to help with pronunciation, grammar, and test preparation like TOEFL/SAT for English learners, and language skills along with insights into Chinese culture for those studying Chinese.

Beginners: Let's start with the essential Pinyin system, the foundation of Chinese learning. We'll explore it together and delve into combinations. I'll also share Chinese culture to enhance your interest and efficiency.
Intermediate learners: We'll tackle the intriguing world of Chinese characters, which can be tough but rewarding. We can include character quizzes as you like.
Discuss your goals with me, and I'll personalize your classes accordingly.
