I found a passion for language a few years ago when I took up German and have been loving it ever since and so became a teacher here to help others with their language! Talking with people from all over the world is a lot of fun and is one of the things I enjoy most, the other being able to genuinely get to know my students and see their progress. I've grown up in Ireland and started travelling a bit in the last few years, the most recent trips being to Chicago, Stockholm and Paris. I've played guitar for 9 years, recently started learning classical too, and studied Film & TV in college so I would say I'm into the creative side of things! I also enjoy WWII era historical fiction. One of the most important parts of learning a language is staying motivated and I think an excellent way to do this is through using the language and speaking to people. Being able to communicate with another person is what language is all about. Through my experience learning a language I've come across a lot about different methods of learning and what I found has worked best is to lots of input, listening to and reading the language, watching films or TV, reading books and... ...in my opinion, one of the most exciting and motivating ways is through talking with native speakers!
