My name is Hiroya Mizoguchi.
37 years old and from Nagoya, Japan
Now I live in Fukuoka Prefecture
I used to live In Australia and Canada for 3 years in total
I have been teaching at Italki for over 4 and a half years
I like exercise, nature, delicious foods, traveling, learning foreign languages and cultures, Anime, Movies, Onsen ♨, Cherry blossom 🌸 and hanging out with my friends! I also recently started BJJ! it's fun!
Me as a Teacher
I am often described by my students as a very easy to talk to teacher. I have had a lot of students take my classes. I have had many students take my classes, and they often say that I am easy to talk to.
I myself am interested in new things, different people's ways of thinking, different things, and different cultures, so I love to listen to what people have to say.
So, if you are not good at speaking and want to become good at it, I think a teacher like me is right for you. My lessons & teaching style

It was exactly what I wanted. Just conversation practice where I got to fully converse in Japanese. He helped me whenever I made mistakes when speaking and taught me new words all while only speaking Japanese. Just what I was looking for.

Talking to Hiroya was very enjoyable as his personality and demanour is very friendly, making him easy to talk to. Not only was I very comfortable, but he also corrected me where necessary in a respectful way. Would love to have a lesson with him again and would easily recommend him to others!

Hiroya provided good feedback both oral and written. He did not interrupt me to provide corrections but waited till I was finished. He maintained a friendly, interested demeanour during the lesson.

Had a fun conversation lesson with Hiroya-san. I am getting back into japanese and I had a lot of fun getting used to speaking again. He has a good balance of keeping the conversation flowing and letting me figure my way out on what I’d like to say. Highly recommend!

初めてひろやさんと授業を受けてた時、緊張したり、言った言葉によく注意したりしました。でも、今、何も考えずに、間違った単語を伝ったこともあるのですけど、自由に自分の意見が言えます。時々、ひろやさんは先生というよりお兄さんみたいです。😂
