Hi, I’m Charlotte, a native English speaker from New Zealand. I love connecting with people worldwide and sharing stories about travel, culture, and language. My CELTA training and vast teaching experience help me create a welcoming space for improving your English. I also speak Portuguese (Brazilian).
My lessons are upbeat, practical, and focused on your goals, with plenty of speaking practice. I provide personalised error feedback and optional homework.
My teaching philosophy is simple and effective. I inspire students to gain confidence in their language learning journey, by unblocking the fear that prevents students speaking and progressing in English.

My teaching philosophy is simple, yet effective. I inspire students to gain confidence in their language learning journey, by uncovering the fear that prevents students speaking. I believe that when students are encouraged in their area of concern, they can see their errors as learning opportunities and therefore begin to improve. I do this by working on all the key skill areas: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
My lessons are upbeat and fun. I like to encourage students to have as much spoken practice as possible during my lessons. I use Google Documents and document and screen sharing.
