I believe a good communication is one of the keys for happiness. 🤩Me as a Teacher
I can talk about anything and I want my students to be able to do the same in Portuguese and to have fun doing it. If the language learning is a journey, we should enjoy the ride more than the destination! 🙃
I have a TEFL certificate and I've given English classes to children in China. I was an interpreter of LIBRAS for 3 years and I've helped deaf people for almost 10 years. I have also worked as a translator from English to Portuguese.
What I love the most about teaching Portuguese is the variety of accents and regional expressions we find in such a big country as Brazil!
I've studied many methodologies and I apply them to help my students achieve their goals.My lessons & teaching style
I like to be flexible and sensitive to each student's needs. Your class will be custom. However, a dynamic, interactive, and fun class it's the key to learning a new language.

I like to focus in ways to improve speaking and listening skills from the very first class, helping students learn the Portuguese people really speak, instead of learning Portuguese from Grammar books.
I prefer that students get the grammar naturally, understanding patterns instead of memorizing rules.

I enjoy my lessons with Hugo. He is patient with me and good at providing the right amount of feedback to keep the conversation moving forward. We discuss all kinds of topics from our daily life and more. He is very flexible and we have been working together to develop a custom plan for my learning. I would definitely recommend him!

Hugo does a great job getting me to practice my Portuguese as much as possible. He was able to easily identify which ways I learn best and has structured my lessons as such. Not only do I learn so much but he makes it so fun as well! These classes are a highlight of my week!
