I love to travel and learn about different places and cultures. Some of my favorite topics to discuss are music, art, literature, and the outdoors. But mostly I'm excited to hear about whatever interests you. In my free time I play jazz piano, climb, and spend time with my super energetic 3-year-old son. I've been teaching English professionally for ten years to students from over 50 countries. I am fluent in Spanish, and I began my teaching career in Bogota, Colombia. I love analyzing language and working with students to understand it in a communicative way. My biggest hope is that my classes will give students the tools they need to use English confidently for their travel, study, or professional goals. For lessons I use as much authentic material as possible (real articles, videos, etc), plus personalized worksheets if needed to tackle the occasional grammar or vocab topic. Each class is entirely personalized based on your goals, needs, and interests. While I enjoy talking about grammar, the more important thing is being able to actually use what you learn. My classes are all about exposing you to new kinds of language, then practicing that language in a realistic and communicative way, and finally giving you some feedback that you can use to take your English to the next level.
