Bonjour! 👋 I'm a passionate French tutor. I love discovering new cultures, talking to people and learning new things while having fun. Originally an architect, I transitioned to teaching in 2020 — and I absolutely love it! I am certified in Teaching French as a Foreign Language by CAVILAM – Alliance Française de Vichy.

Me as a Teacher

When I was young, I taught Japanese and English to exchange students from several associations, which helped me realize that I love teaching and languages! If you're preparing for exams (such as DELF, DALF, etc.), I offer structured preparation with plenty of practice and targeted feedback. If you just want to prepare your voyage to a French speaking country , communicate with your friends or you just love French, I can help you reach your goals while having fun!

My lessons & teaching style

As a passionate language learner myself, I’m always exploring new methods to both learn and teach more effectively. My lessons are dynamic and immersive, using a wide range of authentic materials like videos, short articles, podcasts, and real-world resources that native French speakers actually use. This helps students confront real-life situations and build practical communication skills. I also love creating educational games and using tools like flashcards to make lessons interactive and engaging. I always adapt my materials and methods to each student's needs and learning style, ensuring that they reinforce their existing knowledge while continually acquiring new skills.

Julie is great! She prepares exercises or assignments for you to ensure that you’ve mastered the grammar/vocabulary and goes through them with you. She also encourages you to practice or speak in the language and then takes the time to write down any new vocabulary or phrases in a Google share document to review. The material is real rounded - we use everything from google share, pictures, videos etc. She’s easy going and easy to connect with . She takes time to explain things and is incredibly patient. I would 100% recommend.

I love, love, love Julie! She is super fun to talk to and she motivates me to get better outside of lessons so I can fully express myself. She lets me know what I need to work on at the end of the lesson and she writes down the my mistakes for me to practice. I can't wait until our next lesson!
