I am a professional teacher with 40 years of experience specializing in all 4 language skills. My name is Cindy, and I'm a native speaker from the United States. I hold a B.A. in English and an M.A. in Spanish, and I am passionate about teaching languages. I have taught various courses for students of different language levels and backgrounds. In addition to Spanish, I have also studied Latin and Chinese, and I am currently learning French. In addition to my passion for teaching and learning languages, I also love traveling, reading, and being outside in nature. ** NOTE: I do not offer classes for students under 18 years old. As a language learner myself, I understand how difficult it is to communicate in a new language. Therefore, as a teacher, I try to create a learning space that is comfortable, and I always give students time to think and find the right word or phrase. My classes are tailored to fit the needs and interests of each student, and I use a wide range of tools and resources. I have experience teaching all four language skills, and specialize in speaking, pronunciation, listening, and fluency building. My goal as a teacher is to create engaging activities that spark interest and help students immerse in the language and learn naturally rather than through memorization. I do not focus on grammar but instead, use conversation to build on language skills and increase confidence.
