I am a TEFL-certified English Teacher from England. I enjoy exercising, doing yoga, watching TV, and travelling. I actively learn Portuguese and Spanish in my free time so understand the challenges of language learning!Me as a Teacher

Adult classes:
- Speaking exercises, reading exercises, and grammar exercises.
- I will make sure to correct all your mistakes and make a note for you to review later.
- I can provide homework exercises to consolidate your understanding.
- I can also provide Business English lessons for multiple industries.
Kids classes:
- We will practice grammar and vocabulary through speaking exercises
- I will provide homework if desired.
- Lessons will be varied, with different activities to capture your child's attention!
Please note, all 30-minute lessons will be 25 minutes and 1-hour lessons will be 55 minutes so I can take a break between classes.My teaching material

English teacherI taught phonics, reading, writing and speaking to children aged 3-12. I worked full-time, planned lessons and provided homework assignments. I communicated with parents to keep them informed of their child's progress.
2016 - 2017
English tutor (private)I was a one-to-one private English tutor for three students aged 6, 9 and 13 in Madrid. I taught them for an hour each once a week. I prepared my own engaging lesson plans that included grammar, speaking and writing exercises for an A2 and C1 level student. I planned tasks to prepare the students for English language exams.
2017 - 2017
TEFL TeacherI was a TEFL Teacher at a 2-week summer camp. I taught B2 level students aged 12-15 for 4 hours every day. In the afternoons, I took part in activities with the children such as creating a video diary for the summer camp and sports games. I developed skills to present information in a way that students could understand. I used my interpersonal skills to recognise the needs of individuals. I also developed different learning programs for students independently.
2016 - 2017
English Language AssistantI gave presentations and assisted in university English classes taken by Spanish students. I was an assistant in two B2 level classes. In one class, I was responsible for creating presentations and planning grammar and vocabulary activities. In the other class, I helped prepare the students for the Cambridge English exam by practicing speaking exercises with them and improving their pronunciation and conversation skills.

Trainee TEFL TeacherI acquired a TEFL certificate from teaching English to children aged 11-16 at Beijing Royal School, Beijing, China. The school is one of the best international schools in the country and gave me the opportunity to experience another culture in depth. I taught English and Western culture every day for 4 hours across 4 separate summer camps. We also prepared the students to take a mock TOEFL test. Yesterday, it was my first time to have a lesson with this teacher and I think it was a happy experience.
Teacher listened to me patiently and she also focused on the reasons why I would like to learn English and which area of English that I want to improve most. I think it is good because she really found out my need and goal about learning English. In fact, I have faced some teachers before who just only gave me some worksheets and then help me check after I finished them but they didn’t understand or provided the materials that really based on my English level or need.
During the conversation yesterday, we talked about our work experiences and I have learnt some new vocabulary like shop assistant,till. Then, we also talked about our study and the differences of mode or trend about learning languages between our countries
I am looking forward to having the next lesson with this teacher.

Ciara is a really kind teacher. She helped me a lot, including tenses, vocabulary, grammar ... She arrangeed flexible classes which didn't insist on single form and cares about my needs. I learn more about British culture and life after her classes, and I believe these will benefit me a lot because I will study in London next month. Thank you again, Ciara!
