Confident, natural English through real conversation. No judgment, just progress. Hi, I'm Jessy! I'm a TESOL certified English teacher based in South Africa, and I've actually lived the international life many of my students are working toward. I've studied and worked across South Africa, Canada, Thailand and Vietnam, so I know what it's like to speak a second language in a new country, feel awkward, and push through anyway. I'm an extrovert who genuinely loves people. My students often tell me our lessons feel more like a conversation with a friend than a class, and that's exactly what I'm going for. Nervous about your accent? Mixing up tenses? Blanking on words mid sentence? None of that fazes me. I've heard it all and I care about one thing: you reaching your goal! How I teach: I build lessons around what you actually need, whether that's: Everyday conversation and fluency Interview or workplace English Travel and social confidence Exam or academic prep I keep things relaxed but focused. You'll get real corrections (kindly delivered), practical vocabulary you'll actually use, and a space where mistakes are just part of learning, not something to be embarrassed about. Why students stick with me: I show up fully present for every lesson. I remember what we talked about last time, I track your progress, and I genuinely celebrate your wins with you. If you've had a tutor who felt distant or made you feel silly for struggling, book a trial with me and feel the difference.
