About Me
italki teacher since Nov 16, 2020
I'm studying in London, studying International Relations with Languages and Linguistics. I am currently studying French and Chinese. I am a very patient, calm and helpful teacher. I always correct students when they make mistakes in speaking or using incorrect vocabulary. Of course, I always give additional information to improve your German.

I recommend Boris's lessons for practicing German early in the morning. The classes provide opportunities for conversation and are particularly useful for learners who want to practice speaking. At times, discussions can touch on personal or political topics, which may not suit everyone's preferences, but they do offer a chance to express and defend your views. I would recommend his lessons for learners with a B2 level or higher, as this allows for more fluid and nuanced interaction.

We usually just chat about random topics and it's really nice, but today, I needed to practise for an exam and Boris was very helpful as well! Vielen Dank!

I cannot recommend this teacher based on my personal experience. I purchased a package of German lessons with Boris. At first, I interpreted some of his comments as humor and tried not to be overly sensitive. However, as the sessions continued and similar remarks were repeated, I began to feel uncomfortable. At one point, when I mentioned that I was preparing for job interviews in Germany, he questioned why I was choosing that path instead of relying on social benefits like, in his words, “some foreigners do.” The tone and framing of this comment struck me as inappropriate and stereotypical. In addition, there were several other remarks on politics and culture that I experienced as insensitive and dismissive. These repeated comments created a sense of microaggression for me. This feedback is based solely on my personal experience. I do not believe these remarks were accidental or unconscious. In my opinion, such attitudes are not suitable in an international learning environment.
