张老师 is the best teacher I've had on Italki! As a more advanced Mandarin speaker, she is the perfect teacher for me. She contextualizes new materials and explains concepts clearly while being patient, encouraging, and helpful. Our lessons are structured but still a lot of fun. I am constantly impressed by how much she cares about her students. Highly highly recommend her!

I sometimes get confused when you explain some things in English from mis-hearing. It would be more helpful if you tried to explain it in Chinese I think. Thank you!

Great teacher! Easy to understand and provides great feedback. I like the conversational style of class. We mostly just go through the textbook, but it’s helpful because the main thing I need to work on is listening and speaking (including pronunciation). Hearing 老師 speak when she explains concepts helps me practice.

Zhang laoshi is a very experienced Chinese teacher. She could teach advanced learners as well. She is open to feedback and is very flexible in changing her style of teaching. She also put in a lot of effort to ensure what she is teaching meets the interest of my child who loves football and sports in general. She is very resourceful in finding topics of interest in mandarin to engage my 10 years old boy. There’s a good mix of interest and expectations in each lesson. My child enjoys the topics of interest and also feels challenged enough as there’s always something new to learn in each lessons with Zhang laoshi. 张老师，谢谢你怎么努力的找到足球和体育的文章,把学习华文变得有趣。

Zhang Lao Shi is a good teacher. She gives me paragraphs to read that improves my reading skills. I have improved my chinese bit by bit every lesson, all thanks to her. You should try out a lesson.
