Laura Pérez

Laura is my first tutor on this platform and she set the bar extremely high. Laura teaches by grammar topic instead of vocabulary topics, which I find to be an awesome structure to follow. Learning vocabulary on my own is easy, but understanding the way the language works is not something I can do very well on my own and Laura has helped immensely with that. She always answers my question on when and how to apply these grammar rules. Laura has been more than patient with my mistakes and corrects me on even the littlest things (such as using the wrong gender or forgetting plurals) which I appreciate so much. I do not want to get into the bad habit of thinking those are not important. She has always given me homework (writing, listening & reading) and for the few odd times that I didn't do the homework, she was willing to go over it with me during the class. She is flexible in understanding that I am not the perfect student. I look forward to learning more from her.

Laura is an absolutely fantastic teacher. I've been taking classes from her for 6 months now and my Spanish level has improved dramatically. She is incredibly patient, no matter how difficult or slow my learning process was. She will converse with you to make sure you understand the topic at hand, but also that you can use it properly in the correct manner. She does a great job of personalizing the classes for you and your particular needs, also she's extremely kind. I've really enjoyed all my classes with her. I could not recommend her more!

I look forward to my weekly lessons with Laura. I think I've done 15 now. She explains things well, gathers feedback on how I feel like I'm doing, and gives me a good plan for the week on things to practice. She's always prepared and gauges my understanding to prepare future material.

Laura is a wonderful teacher! I've been searching for a good fit for a while now on iTalki. I like that we have a lesson plan established and that we not only have time set aside for learning but to practice too. Laura is friendly and patient which creates a comfortable environment to learn and make mistakes. She provides homework that is helpful but I never feel overwhelmed or guilty if I can't finish it on time. We've completed over 20 classes together. Thanks Laura!
