Qualified teacher with over 20 years experience Hi, I’m Erika, a qualified teacher with over 20 years’ experience teaching languages to international students and migrants. I create engaging, well-organised lessons tailored to each student’s needs and use a range of materials including video, audio, grammar, reading, writing, and conversation activities. I hold a Master of Education with First Class Honours and have also developed teacher-training materials for a university-based language school in Auckland. I also offer casual Hungarian conversation classes focused on fluency through interesting topics. Feel free to contact me with any questions. I have always loved languages and have learnt them from an early age as a child. This was my main motivation to become a teacher over 20 years ago. Apart from teaching I have also spent time contracting to a language school based at one of the universities in Auckland to develop teaching materials for new teachers to help them on their teacher training journey. I completed my Master of Education with First Class Honours which I believe enhances my knowledge about education in general and also my teaching practice. I have experience teaching from a beginner to an advanced level; and have taught students from all over the world. My teaching methods include video/audio materials that I send to students before class to watch/listen to; class notes with focussed exercises relating to the language in the video/audio; focussed grammar, writing, conversation, and reading activities; and...

Thank you for asking what type of materials I would like to work with and custom making a thought-provoking Hungarian lesson better than I could have dreamed up, before we ever even met. Thanks for listening and for figuring out how to solve stuff.
