Hi, I'm Alisa Van Niekerk!
I'm a fun person that tries her best to set new goals.
I enjoy reading, watching movies, making arts and crafts, as well as the cozy comforts of home.
I can be very creative and enjoy a creative space!Me as a Teacher
I matriculated through Cambridge, and am now a certified TEFL teacher that loves to teach Beginners in English as well as Children.
I want to make a difference!
I love to know that my students are willing to learn and listen to my lessons.
I think they are just awesome!My lessons & teaching style
I cover the basics of English for my Elementary/Beginner/Intermediate students.
-Speaking/Pronunciation/Listening/Writing skills, depending on the student.
I like to bring in activities for freer and controlled practice, to find what works best for the student from both perspectives.
Keeping it fun and interesting for my students while giving them an understanding of the lesson.
If a student struggles I will adapt my lesson according to my student's needs.
P.S. (1) Notebooks for writing and doing activities and such are more than welcome!
(2) For children I recommend 30min-45min lessons. In general, they do much better with short lessons to remember and not get bored.
