Soohyeon Kim

I really enjoyed my first lesson. I had gotten quite frustrated with learning on YouTube and with podcasts, but after this lesson with Soohyeon, I feel encouraged! I look forward to studying more with her.

Everything is progressing extremely well--the instruction is clear and excellent, lessons are spot on, the quizlet flashcards are very helpful, the powerpoints have had a lot of effort put into creating them and are extremely helpful with audio/video as well, and the recommended workbook seems very good as well.

My first Korean lesson went great! I already feel confident and at ease. Soohyeon Kim is a phenomenal teacher and I can't wait to continue learning Korean with her!

I’ve been studying with 선생님 for over a year. She’s incredibly kind and an excellent teacher. Her lessons are well-organised, but she’s always willing to adapt based on any questions I have, bringing in related insights that accelerate my learning. From the very first lesson, I’ve experienced many eureka moments, particularly with grammar. I’ve made progress faster than I ever thought possible. Before, I was unable to form sentences or understand when 선생님 spoke in Korean. Now, almost the entire lesson is conducted in Korean, and for homework, she corrects sentences I write for consolidation. 선생님’s encouragement and the effort she puts in have kept me motivated to do my best. It’s clear she truly loves her work and that passion brightens up everything. I highly recommend 선생님. She’s exceptional.

I have been learning Korean with Soohyeon Kim for about a month now. She is an amazing teacher, I'm so happy I chose her! She is patient, and excellent teacher, her lessons are structured and she gives good feedback. She also gives insights into Korean culture and things I could not learn from a book.
