My name is Aileen. I am a teacher by profession with over 15 years of experience teaching English, Filipino, and Japanese. I have completed my Bachelor's Degree in English with high academic distinction at the University of Baguio. I am also a licensed professional teacher, civil service eligible, TEFL certified, and an active advocate of education and health in my home country. My post graduate degree in English is still on-going but I am expected to finish in 2026. When I’m not in pursuit of career and academic improvement, I explore languages through travel, food, and films—passions I weave into lessons to make learning vibrant. As a dedicated and licensed educator, I bring a multifaceted background in teaching English, Filipino, and Japanese, both in traditional classrooms and through online platforms. My teaching journey spans over a decade, allowing me to work with diverse learners—from university students and professionals in Japan to international language learners through iTalki and other online schools. My professional qualifications have equipped me with a solid foundation in both content mastery and effective pedagogy. I believe there’s no one-size-fits-all method for learning a second language effectively. Each learner is unique, so I take the time to understand my students’ interests, goals, strengths, challenges, proficiency level, and learning style. This allows me to tailor my teaching approach to best support their growth. I draw from a wide range of methods and strategies I’ve gained through my academic training and years of teaching experience.
