Laurent Gu

Gu Hao is a very patient teacher, even when the student is not very well prepared. I still learned a lot (and noticed where I have to get much better) - and all this in a very friendly and professional environment.

I really enjoyed the lesson. Conversations with Laurent are always very comfortable. He writes notes during the lesson, that are very helpful for later review. The whole sentences are the most useful, because after lesson I can still remember how to use new words and in which context I’ve heard them. Besides that, the quality of sound is really good, that is particularly important for conversation classes, and I had no problems to understand what he says.

I just had my first class with Gu Laoshi. He is very welcoming and pacient. He took time to assess my proficiency level and gave me helpful guidance on how I could best pursue my language learning goals. Thank you, Gu Laoshi!

It was my first Chinese lesson ever. I had something prepared so I would have something to say in Chinese. Laurent was very patient with me. He corrected my pronunciation, tonality, vocabulary and sentence structure. He also speaks fluent English and can explain things clearly in English as needed. I found a long term Chinese teacher.

Laurent is very flexible and reacts very quickly to my wishes/requests.

Laurent gives helpful feedback. I've taken writing lessons with other teachers before, and a lot of them can't break down why they want to rewrite an awkward phrase the way they do, but Laurent is good at breaking things down and giving incremental feedback.
