I started teaching Chinese when I moved to the UK in 2021. Before that, I worked in China for seven years in sales and management. I hold a degree in Arabic Language and Literature, which has given me valuable insight into language learning from a learner’s perspective.
I’m learning Spanish using the same comprehensible input method. Putting myself in my students’ shoes helps me refine my teaching while enjoying the process of learning a new language.Me as a Teacher
I’ve been teaching both Chinese and English as foreign languages for the past four years. I also create easy Chinese videos for learners, as I believe in the power of listening and comprehensible input.

My lessons are based on the Comprehensible Input (CI) approach, you’ll acquire Chinese in a natural way, just as you learned your first language.
There are no textbooks, flashcards, or grammar drills, only stories and topics you enjoy. Even as a complete beginner, you’ll be surprised by how much Chinese you can understand from your very first lesson.
To get the most out of our lessons, I encourage you to listen to lots of Chinese outside of class — stories or conversations you can understand. Consistent comprehensible input is the key!My teaching material

Jessica is a wonderful conversation tutor! I have booked many lessons with her, and our conversations have been so helpful in supplementing my Chinese studies. She's great at helping me pick up words when I forget certain vocabulary and she has plenty of patience when I need a little more time to organize my sentences. The lesson went well because Jessica prepared well and has a good English level so she can explain things in detail. I'm quite a demanding student so this was important for me. Also, she gave me useful feedback post-lesson and things to work on for my following lesson. Recommend.
