Hi, my name is Selma. I'm from Bosnia & Herzegovina and I have a bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature. English has been my passion since I was a child, which is why I chose to study this beautiful language in university. My native language is Bosnian, which is a captivating Slavic language. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, and my favorite book/movie is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I'm a friendly person and I enjoy meeting new people, as well as exploring other cultures and their traditions. My favorite season is fall, and my dearest animals are cats, owls and capybaras.Me as a Teacher
As a teacher, I want to create a positive learning environment and make my students feel relaxed. Students can rest assured that they will not be judged, but rather encouraged to make progress and learn from their mistakes. All accents are welcome, and I will make sure that students are comfortable enough to talk to me.My lessons & teaching style
I believe that teachers need to know their students in order to conduct successful lessons. There is no single best way of teaching, which is why my goal is to get to know my students and prepare lesson materials according to their level of knowledge. I observe the way my students respond to different teaching materials, both auditory and visual, and prepare my lessons accordingly. The aim of my lessons is to encourage students to speak without hesitation and expand their vocabulary by discussing various interesting topics.My teaching material
