I'm a big fan of study skills and will encourage you to develop these so that you can become more independent as a language learner. As part of this, I help you to set an achievable goal and create a study plan that will move you towards it step by step. My overall belief about language learning is that it should be a rewarding process. Yes, you may need to work hard to achieve your goals, but that doesn't mean that the journey can't be enjoyable. From my years of experience I developed an easy-going lesson style. I like to establish a friendly relationship with my students -- you should feel comfortable enough with me to speak freely, make mistakes and express your opinions. For my conversation classes, I like to keep the discussions natural and realistic in the same way that you would have a real-life conversation with a native speaker, rather than a formal, classroom-like experience.My teaching material
