Hello everyone! My name is Uka born in Japan and currently living near Tokyo. Learning English with me is so much fun as I like to inspire people to be the best they can be in the Japanese. I like watching movies, drama, Japanese pop culture, anime and talking to new people. Also I'm learning Korean and I understand how difficult the journey is, so it's important to have fun and enjoy your favourite things in another language.Me as a Teacher
My journey is a little bit complicated. I originally learned some English in school though we mostly focused on grammar. Then I spent a tiny bit of time in New Zealand and found that experience really difficult but it inspired me to improve myself so I can communicate more effectively in the language. After pushing myself through many conversations, textbooks and melon soda, I was able to get to the level I am now. I want to be able to provide an environment that suits you and motivates you to use the language more!My lessons & teaching style
Mainly I would like to offer lessons that focus on free conversation. And I can correct you and help you form grammatically correct Japanese sentences which you can build on to slowly improve.My teaching material

We talked about many things like Doubutsu no Mori, Hokkaido, Kobe, and learning languages. It's good to talk to Uka-sensei and write down words I don't know. She is very helpful!

It had been a long time since I talked with Uka-sensei. She is very easy to talk to and helps me correct my sentences! I definitely recommend her for speaking and listening conversation practice!
