I’m Edison, born and raised in the Philippines. I hold a business degree and a TEFL certification, and I work as a geospatial analyst. After four years in the corporate world, I moved to Europe to teach—first as an English assistant in Madrid, then privately—and later lived in the Czech Republic and Lithuania. I’m a multilingual learner: self‑studied French & Spanish; conversational Italian & Portuguese; travel‑ready Russian & Czech; and now tackling Indonesian. Outside teaching, I play guitar, drums, harmonica, and piano. I also love basketball, chess, street photography, writing, and travel—I’ve visited over 40 countries.Me as a Teacher

Another great lesson with Miguel! We had some casual conversation in Tagalog about our plans for Valentine's Day and the Super Bowl, and then we did a roleplaying exercise in Tagalog where I pretended to go to a doctor's office and make an appointment. Maraming salamat!

Great first lesson and conversation with Edison! He’s very patient, and I appreciate that he continuously spoke in Tagalog even though at times I stumbled through my own. He’s a good conversationalist in general and spoke clearly in a way I can understand as someone who’s not super confident in their Tagalog yet! Whenever there was something I wasn’t sure about, he was quick to help out as well! Overall great first lesson and I look forward to booking again in the future
