Hello! I am a certified ESL teacher, an avid bookworm and a language enthusiast. Over the past 20 years, I've taught all ages and levels, in both public and private school settings. While I've mostly taught English to both native and non-native speakers, I've also taught social studies, choir, and speech and debate. I've also served as a librarian, so I'm always ready to talk about books and give my latest book recommendations. Finally, as a language learner myself, I truly understand the joys and challenges of learning a new language. I am an energetic, empathetic and patient teacher. I believe my students feel comfortable and supported during our time together. Additionally, I am a responsive and adaptive teacher. In other words, I adapt my lessons to my students' individual preferences and learning styles.

Authentic conversation is a wonderful way to build vocabulary and practice grammar concepts when learning a new language. This is why I like to center lessons around conversation. Of course, I am happy to provide other resources to support your studies, such as vocabulary lists, YouTube videos, book recommendations, and more.
