65 English lessons
I’ve been learning English with Kritzlynn for two years. We have causal conversion and good interactions every lesson. I’ve learned many beautiful words from her.
As I can remember vividly, in our first lesson two years ago, she taught me the word "epiphany." I wondered if it is a big word or fancy word, which we can see in academic essays or dictionaries only. Anyway, I just learned it. Whist, after two weeks, I watched an interview with an entrepreneur on the YouTube, he talked about the moment, when he came up with his business ideas, and said that was his "moment of epiphany". I was so thankful and like, "Oh my God, I have learned this expression, and I got it without getting lost and without subtitles." It was my serendipity.
In the journey of language learning, we need a lot of serendipitous moments like this, which give us the sense of accomplishment and encourage us to keep going, such that we don't stagnate with basking in our current levels. Of course, patience is a must
