Chan

It was another fun and fruitful lesson. As my homework, I usually read an article and make my original sentences with some new words. Chan is always kind and helps me express what I want to say in Lao. I recommend her as your teacher with all my heart😌✨

How many rave reviews can I submit? It keeps getting better and better. The conversation flows now, and while I constantly fetch up on verbal sandbars, Chan is great about helping me get afloat again. Tonight I told her that I wanted to go beyond my initial goal of learning rudimentary Lao, and commit to a year’s worth of twice-weekly lessons with the goal of being able to read at the end. So, we’re off! I am excited; she tells me that one-year goal is readily achievable, and she’s so good that I believe her!

I am finally feeling much more confident speaking Lao. Chan is really good about correcting me each time, I use incorrect words, or when every once in a while I would use a Thai word instead of the Lao word. Chan is very flexible and does an good job of answering my requests to practice grammar or vocab. She askes questions and leads the conversation in a way so that I would have to use the vocab and grammar. Thank you, Chan!

Chan kindly shared her happy memories of this Lao New Year with photos and we talked about them in Lao as much as possible. It was full of fun and I could practice speaking and listening to Lao at the same time. She is the greatest teacher I've ever met😌✨
