Another very pleasant lesson with Abby. This time we only did conversation (exactly what I had in mind) and Abby is really great at using a slow and clear pronunciation that however still sounds natural/pleasant to listen to. I also liked that she tried to first picture or write the character for a few words I had forgotten which I think helps with recall and memory. It was a very nice lesson in a not-at-all very formal lesson, it was rather casual and not strict in that sense, which I think is very beneficial for learning. I am really excited to continue lessons with Abby and am very confident I will get really far with her as my conversation partner/teacher.

My first lesson with Abby was great! I haven't studied Chinese in a while and she was super supportive as I was slowly remembering all the things I learned before. She provided examples and helped correct my broken grammar and I felt a lot more comfortable by the end of our call. I'm looking forward to taking more lessons!

Another very fun lesson with Abby. We practiced conversation based on a few grammar topics that came up in the book and I learned some new things as well that weren't covered in the book yet. I had a lot of technical issues during the meeting but Abby was very cordial and patient in this for me and we continued a few minutes after the official time because of this, which I greatly appreciated. The lessons are very casual and cordial. I particularly appreciate that Abby speaks in a slow clear manner but yet fast enough that it does not sound unnatural and that it doesn't become too easy (which would prevent learning, at least in an effective manner). Would recommend!

I’ve had two lessons so far and I’m already learning so much. Abby makes learning a new language feel fun, approachable, and easy to follow. Highly recommend!

Another great lesson, I am already noticing my speaking is more fluid than it was in the first lesson, even though overall it is still very basic of course. Excited to continue.

Great first in-take lesson with Abby. We first did a little conversation (in order to gage my level in Chinese) and then on my request we reviewed the pinying to make sure I was pronouncing everything right. I learned a few new words in the process like 冷, 雲, etc. She was supportive of my pronunciation but also critical enough in order for me to have tangible points upon which to improve (which is good as I often do not hear my own mistakes, primarily when it comes to aspiration like j/q, d/t, b/p, g/k, zh/ch). I was intrigued by the fact Abby has an application that lets you type in characters above which Pinyin automatically appear, I have never seen this before but I think it is very useful for learners. Excited to see what the more technical lessons will be like but based on this lesson, would recommend!
