I'm Stevenson, a self-entrepreneur, a french and haitian creole teacher and a traveler. I taught french in Brazil to different nationalities in a languages program called Idiomas Sem Fronteiras. I'm teaching french and haitian creole online and in my languages school. I choose this profession because I’m passionate about languages and cultures. I like to travel, to discover new cultures and to marvel at the varied landscapes of our beautiful planet. I've a great interest in learning languages in general. I’m very attentive to the good understanding of my students. I’m naturally calm, patient with a real desire to help you progress quickly and learn French and Haitian Creole.Me as a Teacher
I have a lot of experience in teaching French with small groups or in individual classes. I am patient, enthusiastic, dynamic and with me, you will quickly feel confident.
I consider myself as my students' friend. I'm a friendly and open-minded person and no topics are off-limits. I like to listen without criticizing and without judging. With me, you will have no Fear. I don’t want you to feel like a student, I want you to feel like you are just having a nice conversation with a friend, a sincere one. I'll correct your mistakes; I'll give you tips on improving your grammar and pronunciation.My lessons & teaching style
My teaching method is based on communicative and actional approaches. My goal is to get the students involved, to encourage them to express themselves as much as possible in French.My approach is also progressive. I first propose discovery exercises using various documents such as texts, videos or songs. I then propose the study of grammar points that have a link with the studied document. I then invite the students to use these new learning in different types of exercises.I also give much of the learning to the expression and the oral and written comprehension of students who wish to improve in French. Interaction and communication are very important for me in a French class.My teaching material
