Ciao! I’m Ginny, a certified TEFL & CELTA teacher specializing in English and Italian for global learners. With 10+ years of experience, I help students of all ages master practical language skills through engaging, culturally rich lessons. My background in Asian markets and sustainability (Master’s in Global Management for China) adds unique depth to business and conversational topics. From 2013 to 2015, I taught private lessons in Italy, as one of my bachelor’s degree majors was English Language and Culture. My first formal teaching experience came in 2016 at Xiamen International English School in China. Later, in Shanghai, I taught Business English to adult beginners at Big Mouth Foreign Languages Services and worked with students of various ages at Thomas English, while also teaching Italian at LEMON Language School. Since September 2019, I’ve been a professional teacher on italki, meeting over 100 students from around the world and conducting more than 600 lessons, making amazing new friends along the way. My teaching style adapts to each student’s level, needs, and goals. I incorporate a variety of materials and activities, including flashcards, visual aids, games, warm-up exercises, videos, newspaper articles, and grammar textbooks. I believe in creating personalized lessons that keep students engaged while working toward their specific objectives. With experience teaching students from ages 4 to 55, I’m comfortable with a range of methods and can quickly adjust my approach to suit each student’s unique learning style.
