IELTS professional and former IELTS examiner with over 8 years of teaching experience Hello everyone! My name is John Kelly from California in the United States. I have lived in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam for the last 6 years and really enjoy my life here. I received my bachelor's degree in economics from the University of California, San Diego in 2007 and then began my career in the banking industry, where I worked for some of the world's largest financial institutions, including J.P. Morgan and Wells Fargo Bank. While I enjoyed a certain level of success in the banking industry, my calling was to travel and live abroad and that is what brought me to Vietnam. When I am not teaching, I enjoy exercising, meditating and reading books on personal development. I’m a former IELTS Examiner with IDP and have over 8 years of academic language teaching experience, both in the classroom and online. My focus has been solely on preparing students for the difficult IELTS exam. I’ve worked with students of all levels from all over the world, and I understand exactly what it takes to help you achieve your goals. Each of our sessions will be focused on your weaknesses. You will have the option of booking individual sessions or going with a more structured approach. If you choose the structured option, I will provide you with writing structures that have been proven to help hundreds of students achieve band 7 and above.
