Nihao! My name is Dai Mengli. You can also call me Spencer.
🧑🏫 I’m a certified Chinese / English teacher with over 2,000 hours of teaching experience, having taught more than 100 students from around the world since 2019.
📖 Growing up with several Chinese dialects sparked my love for languages — I later studied English, French, and German, and truly understand the journey of language learning.
🌍Having traveled to over a dozen countries and lived in Europe for six months, I’ve developed a strong sense of cross-cultural understanding. In my classes, you’ll not only learn authentic expressions, but also explore the culture and stories behind them.Me as a Teacher
🎓I hold the International Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages, TEFL and Cambridge TKT, and achieved an IELTS overall score of 7.5 and TEM-8.
🌍I have over six years of experience teaching adult learners from different countries and all proficiency levels. My lessons are personalized to each learner’s goals, learning style and real-life communication needs.
📈My longest-term student has studied with me for over four years and progressed from a complete beginner to fluent daily communication.
💻 I currently teach both Chinese and English, with a strong focus on practical communication, confidence building and long-term learning results. My lessons & teaching style
✨The learning process includes two parts:
1, In class (present/practice): we will work on grammar and vocabulary by having practical conversations.
2, After class (produce): I will assign you some homework to do, including translations and further exercises. Practice makes it perfect!
