Nina Kirchner

I’ve been taking Danish classes with Nina for over half a year now, and I can highly recommend her as a teacher. She is always well prepared and brings a great variety of materials to class – from presentations and books to videos – which keeps the lessons engaging and dynamic. On top of that, she’s very empathetic, patient, and friendly, creating a comfortable learning environment where it’s easy to make progress. 😊

Nina is an awesome teacher. She is friendly and well-organized, and she corrects you without making you feel stupid. She is super helpful and clear. I highly recommend her to help you improve your Danish!

For many reasons I can say without a doubt that Nina is a fantastic teacher. Firstly, Nina's lessons are perfectly organized. Each minute is well planned and I am always surprised when our lesson is done. Moreover, we practice all language skills and Nina uses various means such as texts, videos, exercises. I think we haven't only sung so far :) But most importantly, I learn a lot and I feel I am always chanllenged but in a reasonable way, so I am never overwhelmed.

Today was my first lesson, and I feel well prepared to study this week, and master greetings and responses. Nina makes it easier to understand and learn pronunciation, which has been my biggest challenge when doing Duolingo exercises on my own. Having italki lessons with Nina makes me more confident that I will be able to have basic conversations on my future trips to Denmark.

If you are up for a challenge Danish is the language for you! It is a complicated but rewarding and unique. If you have a northern English accent like me, you'll hear traces of it in Danish pronunciation. Nina's lessons are fun and engaging. Her passion for Danish is infectious and motivates me to keep going with the more difficult parts of the language. I’ve not had many lessons but I already feel confident introducing myself and I’m slowly getting to grips with sentence structure and personal pronouns. I would highly recommend.
