My name is Hanna and I'm originally from Sweden, but I love traveling and have lived in four different countries other than Sweden. I'm 28 years old and love learning new languages myself, so I can really connect with my own students in their pursuit to learn.
I taught English in both Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City and Spain, Barcelona, before moving onto mainly teaching online here on Italki. The teacher training I underwent in both Vietnam and Spain is what I carry with me to make sure my lessons are effective, fun and personalized.
The biggest lessons I've learned through teaching is that everyone is different, and lessons therefore need to be tailored to the individual student.Me as a Teacher
I'm very relaxed and understanding as a teacher. I relate to how hard it can be to learn a new language so while I'm very patient and understanding I will also push and encourage you. With time and motivation anyone can learn and improve in amazing ways.
Some 2024 information: My introduction video is very outdated at this point, sorry about that. I'm currently in Japan, pursuing my own language journey, so my time slots are a bit different at the moment. I'll be back in Sweden and the European time zone in September.My lessons & teaching style
It's very important to first of all get a good understanding of the student's current language ability and then go from there. Pronunciation is something almost everyone struggle with and is something I will make sure to correct and practice with the student a lot.
Overall, confidence in speaking, and practicing your oral skills is what's going to improve your language skills the most (speaking from experience) so I tend to spend a lot of time on that. You can learn all the vocab and grammar in the world, but if you don't have the confidence or ability to verbalize it, it won't be of much use.
But the most importantly I believe fun and education go hand in hand!My teaching material

Hanna is a very good teacher, who makes sure you understand her lessons and encourages to get better at every turn. My Swedish lessons were a delight and I learned a lot in a short span of few classes! Highly recommended and I give 5/5 to a wonderful teacher :)
