Yorgos

What I really love about these lessons is that there is no book involved. It's a lot about me asking thousands of questions and Yorgos being ready with as many sources of good tailored material that answer my questions and help me remember words and structures. Memes are a golden addition! His background in Italian language and Ancient Greek allow him to explain to me things from a different etymological perspective, adding so much richness to the lexicon I learn. He never judges and he positively reinforces all the progress you make, encouraging you to have conversations and make mistakes in order to grow. Bravo!

Another great session with Yorgos! Yorgos' passion for linguistics and knowledge of various languages has helped immensely when breaking down and explaining various parts of the greek language. Very easy to talk to - I can recommend fully!

I cannot stop saying how incredibly strong Yorgos is as a teacher. Thanks to him, I’m making huge progress in my speaking. At times, when I realize how much I have said without stopping, I gasp!! He is absolutely wonderful. Thank you, Yorgos!!

I knew from the very first lesson that this was my teacher. Yorgos doesn’t just teach grammar or vocabulary, he helps you understand how the language works and how it reflects Greek culture and everyday life. You can immediately feel his passion for Greek, and it’s contagious! During class, Yorgos always manages to create a space where you feel safe to make mistakes, explore the language, be creative, and be yourself. I became more confident speaking Greek, and most importantly, I’ve stayed excited about learning it. He really listens and somehow always knows exactly what you need (even when you’re not sure what it is yourself) and shapes every lesson around that. A truly personal approach. Conversations with Giorgos are always enlightening in terms of how the Greek language works. More importanly, he listens carefully and gives clear guidance, enabling me to feel like I can express myself with a little more competence after each lesson.
