My name is Ryusei, and I’m from Nara, Japan — a place famous for its temples, history, and friendly deer.
Outside of teaching, I have a variety of interests. I like visiting art museums, basketball, and also hearing your stories, experiences, and ideas is one of the things I enjoy most. As a teacher, I value flexibility. Every student has different backgrounds, and the most effective way to master a language varies from person to person, so I always adjust my lessons to fit what you need. Thankfully, my students often tell me that I have a calm and relaxed way of teaching, which makes it easier for them to speak without feeling nervous.
Ultimately, I want to be a teacher who listens carefully and encourages you. I’ll do my best to guide you in your Japanese learning journey, while making sure you always feel comfortable and motivated.

Ryusei is always professional, punctual and no matter what time of the day it is, he is always so positive and full of energy. He helps me with different aspects of Japanese, from kanji, grammar, vocabulary, culture, daily life expressions, natural speech, homework and any questions I may need help with. Without his support I don’t think I can enjoy learning Japanese so much. Conversations with him are always so interesting and engaging that I am always amazed at how quickly our 90 min lesson fly by each time.
