Will

Had yet another fantastic lesson with Will! I genuinely that I have learned so much in a short time working with him and cannot recommend his teaching approach highly enough. By engaging in topics surrounding our daily lives and areas of interest, Will has been able to expertly weave grammar and vocabulary that is pertinent to your level of French and what you need in the moment, instead of the process back in high school of grammar drills and sifting through a dictionary. If you want a fun, engaging, and fulfilling way to develop your French, Will's your guy!

I’ve been having French lessons with Will for about 2 years now and it has been great! :) I’m now able to watch tv shows and youtube videos in French pretty smoothly, and would say I can communicate quite well! He’s really patient, sociable and knowledgeable, which is excellent for when you are learning a new language. Also, the fact that he speaks a million other languages also helps a ton! He knows the intricacies of learning a new language and is able to understand and/or translate words when needed. Awesome teacher, definitely recommend!

Will is a one of the best teachers I have had the privilege of working with over the past few years. I was super nervous when I first restarted my French learning journey since I hadn't taken my French seriously since high school. When I found Will, I felt incredibly at ease due to his engaging, patient, friendly and non-judgemental nature. Will has an impressive language learning portfolio which allows him to have a great understanding and empathy of what it takes to be a learner. His extensive knowledge of grammar, vocab (both formal and slang) and fluency in English allows him to help me convey exactly what I wish to express to a variety of audiences. Many native speakers compliment my confident use of current vocabulary and phrases that are used by them thanks to him. In an organic way, Will and I have built an amazing comradeship, our conversations pass by so quickly because I enjoy catching up with him. As a teacher myself, I honestly highly recommend him. Excellent. It was a relaxed lesson where Will made me feel very comfortable to express myself in French, despite my many errors! It was a great confidence boost!

I’ve only had a few lessons with Will so far (in addition to our generously lengthy trial lesson), but I already look forward to seeing and working with him every week. He offers me ample time to speak and to get to the end of my thoughts without interrupting while also finding moments to chime in with gentle but useful grammar and vocabulary corrections and suggestions when the need arises. He likewise has a great gift for listening and posing follow-up questions to get you to talk in greater detail and to keep the conversation going. Finally, I appreciate Will's warmth, curiosity, and full attention throughout each lesson. Thank you, Will!
